Video Game Ubisoft may help rebuild Notre Dame

Soon after Notre Dame Cathedral caught Fire on Monday, the 15th of April, it was made clear that it would be rebuilt and now it appears the Government may turn to an unexpected source to help with the repairs, The 2014 Video Game Assassin's Creed Unity.

Part of the ongoing series Unity was set in 1700's Paris and was critically acclaimed for its accurate rendering of the city, which included Notre Dame. Level artist Caroline Miousse spent 2 years modeling Notre Dame for the game, remarking that 80% of her work on the game was spent on the landmark.

The Building was also scanned during the process of making the game.

Ubisoft has stated on Twitter that they have not been approached but are more than willing to help if asked and they have donated $500,000 to reconstruction efforts.

Also if you want to visit Notre Dame in the Video Game world, Ubisoft is giving away Assassins Creed: Unity for free.
