Victoria
ITV's Victoria is set to replace Downton Abbey on PBS in 2017.
The Drama stars Jenna Coleman as Queen Victoria during her early years starting as a Teenager at 18 through her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert.
The Rest of the cast includes
Rufus Sewell (The Man in the High Castle, The Pillars of the Earth) as Lord Melbourne, her first prime minister and intimate friend
Tom Hughes (Dancing on the Edge) as her husband Prince Albert
Alex Jennings (The Lady in the Van) as Leopold I, King of Belgium and uncle to both Victoria and Albert
Paul Rhys (Borgia, Being Human) as Sir John Conroy, the ambitious controller of the household of Victoria’s mother, the Duchess of Kent
Peter Firth (MI-5) as Victoria’s conniving uncle, the Duke of Cumberland
Daisy Goodwin wrote the screenplay for the series, which is her first, and read through 62 million words of Victoria’s diaries to come up with the story.

I've been watching both Victoria and "The Crown" with my wife (her mother was born/raised in the UK, so she loves this sort of stuff)...
and I can't help comparing the 2 shows...both are well done, and both have main Doctor Who actors/actresses in them...Victoria stars my favorite recent Doctor WHo companion as Victoria; whereas one of the more entertaining Doctor Who's plays Prince Phillip in the Crown...
I can't help but imagine a fan fiction scenario whereas Prince Phillips finds the Tardis, and travels back in time to take Queen Victoria on a time travel adventure...
By the way, I like Victoria better than the Crown but both are good

Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes are back for season 3 of Victoria and they will be joined by Laurence Fox and Kate Fleetwood.
Fox will play former Foreign Secretary and Prime Minister Lord Palmerston while Fleetwood will play Feodora, Victoria's mysterious sister. Also joining the season are Lily Travers as the Duchess of Monmouth, and John Sessions will play Prime Minister John Russell.
David Burnett, Nicholas Audsley, and Emily Forbes will also all appear but their roles haven't been revealed.
The action will pick up in 1848
