2020 General Chat and Check in

The Appointment on Wednesday went well, everything looks good to reattach but it was a long day. I had to be up at 2 am to finish my prep, finish a nasty tasting drink that cleaned me out, which I finished by 3 am. I ended up staying up for another hour before taking a quick nap where I got up at 5 so we could be on the road to the hospital a little after 6 so I could arrive by 7:30. The appointment was done by 10 though so that was nice. Dad went to get new shoes and since it was buy one, get one half off I picked up a new pair of Converse shoes. We ended up having lunch and got home before 2 pm. At some point, I fell asleep until around 5 pm and went to bed about 11:30 and slept pretty much until 9 am.

Today I watched some videos and some TV, nothing too exciting, just recovered from the day before.

As for the Surgery, recovery should be a lot shorter as it won't be as extensive as the last two were.

TGIF, folks!

Hope everyone's having a good one. It's gray and dreary here and milder as predicted...supposed to reach the 50's today and up into the 60's tomorrow.

My sister and her kids and Leon all headed up to my brother's to go to the auction tonight. I opted out as I have to be up and out early in the morning to go to a memorial service for our church organist who died just before Christmas. I didn't want to get home at midnight and then have to get back up first thing. It works out anyway as I've got stuff to do around the house so I'll get to that as soon as I finish catching up online.

Enjoy whatever the day brings you! emoticon

GOOD FRIDAY, Jan. 10th MY FRIENDS!

YES!!! A full 8 hours sleep, with only my 5am waking up hubby, then back to bed till 8:30! Oh that felt sooooo good. And NO barking dog....The ordinance officer was not able to talk to them but...I think the other neighbor who's bedroom is literally 5 feet from that barking dog....may have and he is a big guy too! 🤣 Or who knows....maybe they saw me talking to the ordinance officer in his dog catcher truck right in front of their house! Which was sort of my plan when he pulled up there..😁
I hope they gave that dog to someone outside of town....
The officer heard 3 other dogs barking.....but I told him that as soon as 5 PM rolls around and those dogs parents come home from work...they are real quiet. And rarely ever bark at night. So those can be tolerated...
ANYWHO....whatever! I feel great...and I now have two numbers to call day or night for barking dog, or loud music help!💖
AND it's Friday, so no cooking! 😉
It is however going to start snowing in about an hour and continue off and on for the next like 7 days with temps dropping into Winter....Imagine Winter during Winter....now novel!🤣
Later friends....Have a fantastic Friday!🌈

RYAN...LOL Great 2020 thread. Not sticky this one..emoticon I am so bossy ain't I?💖
So glad that the appointment went so well and I guess those nice shoes were your reward!
I so hope this next surgery goes smoothly and you heal fast. I can only imagine you are sick of being sick! Need to get back to some sort of normal life...

SUE...can't blame you for not wanting to go to the auction. And getting home at midnight IF everything went smoothly.

Well, I'm done with Wound Care so I can cross that off the list, just have the last surgery and I'll be done with this nightmare. We did a little shopping after my appointment, mainly Groceries. I just hung out watching TV and some Youtube when we got home.

Tomorrow should be a quiet day, some Playoff Football and Badger Basketball, other than that I'll see what comes up.

Happy Saturday, all!

I hope everyone's having a good one. It's cloudy here but really mild...hardly feels like winter.

Went to the memorial service this morning. It was lovely but very different as it was in a Presbyterian church. A lot of beautiful music played and my choir director, who was the organists best friend and playing partner, spoke just beautifully. All in all it was a perfect tribute to a lovely man.

Now I'm back and catching up online before I do some work around the house and then I'll be off to church later.

That's it here...enjoy whatever the day brings you! emoticon

It was a quiet day as expected, got an inch or so of snow overnight but nothing like they were predicting. I spent the day watching some TV and Playoff Football. Tomorrow will be more of the same around here.

Happy Sunday, all!

It's beautiful here...bright, sunny and very windy. And so warm it feels more like early June than January! Bizarre for this time of year but I took advantage and went out and got my Christmas lights taken down and finished taking down my tree and put that out at the curb. I also reorganized all the Christmas stuff now that we've started going through it and dividing it among ourselves and the Etsy shop. I got a set of ornament storage boxes for Christmas so I put the stuff I'm keeping in that and put all the outdoor and indoor lights in one box so everything is neatly organized...I love that feeling!

At any rate, with all of that done I'm just spending the rest of the day relaxing and hanging out.

Hope everyone's enjoying their day! emoticon

Just another normal Sunday here, Watched NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool this morning and followed that up with the Chiefs vs. Titans Playoff game. This evening I watched the Packers beat the Seahawks to advance to the NFC Championship game and in the middle of it, I watched Doctor Who.

Monday is the start of a little vacation from Doctors as I now have nothing scheduled until the 5th of February. So just going to see what happens.

Happy Monday, all!

Hope everyone's having a good one. It's cloudy and dreary here and cooler than yesterday. Supposed to continue cooling down all week until it starts feeling like winter again by Friday.

I'm just catching up online before I get to work, so a routine one.

Enjoy whatever the day brings you! emoticon
