Actress Fan Bingbing resurfaces
Fans of Fan Bingbing had spent months wondering what happened to the X-Men actress as she vanished on July 23rd while dealing with a very public tax evasion scandal in China.
She returned to China's Social Media to apologize to her fans "I failed my country which nurtured me; I failed the society which trusted me; I failed the fans who loved me." In regards to the steep fines she is facing, Fan's statement said: "I totally accepted all of them, and will raise funds to pay my taxes and penalties regardless of any obstacles."
Reports out of China state that she has been fined $70 million and the back taxes totaling $37 million. She will avoid jail time if she's able to pay off the fines.
