Stargirl
Written by Geoff Johns, who will executive produce with Greg Berlanti, the 13 episode series will follow High School sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires a new group of heroes to battle villains from the past.
Johns has originally created the character in 1999 where she first debuted in Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #1. She was named after his sister who died in 1996 when TWA Flight 800 exploded.

Brec Bassinger has been cast as Courtney Whitmore, a High School sophomore who leads an unlikely team of heroes against a group of villains from the past.
Bassinger is best known for her role of Bella in the live-action Nickelodeon comedy Bella and the Bulldogs and no she is not related to Actress Kim Basinger

Joy Osmanski, Neil Hopkins, and Nelson Lee have all been cast in Stargirl,
Osmanski will be playing Villian Tigress, a nemesis of Wildcat.
Hopkins portrays Lawrence “Crusher” Crock, aka the Sportsmaster, a villain who sees crime as a game that he must win. In the comics, he and Tigress are married.
Young Justice fans will also recognize the names as Sportsmaster was a recurring villain on the series and was the father of Young Justice member Artemis, who took the name Tigress while undercover in season 2.
Lee will be playing another villain named Dragon King, a mysterious man who hides his face and his past.
