While This is Us cleaned up with the nominations, star Mandy Moore got no such love, Nor did stand outs like Rami Malek and Issa Rae. The Cast of The Leftovers such as Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, and more were once again left out despite having some of the best acting of the year. Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga of Bates Motel were considered favorites early but appear to have been forgotten when voting came around. While Fargo once again raked in the nominations not everyone on the cast was recognized for their fantastic performances such as Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Shows 'The Americans - Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are once again nominated but once again the show got no love Transparent - An Emmy favorite in the past wasn’t nominated, though Jeffrey Tambor was nominated again. The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Insecure The Good Fight The Big Bang Theory - The long time series was once again left out of the Best Comedy series running. Mr. Robot - Many feel this is a snub, though many critics felt the show wasn’t as good as its break out first season The Young Pope Girls - The Emmy favorite was shut out in its final season Bloodline The Leftovers - The series never received Emmy Love despite being a favorite among those who have watched it, with only Carrie Coon getting a nomination but for Fargo and not this series. Bojack Horseman The CW - Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex Girlfriend had landed nominations before but missed out. Sadly still no Stunt work award which clearly would earn Arrow nominations. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rogue9a)Mon, 17 Jul 2017 16:14:04 +0000 2017 Emmyshttps://broguesholonet.runboard.com/p70793,from=rss#post70793https://broguesholonet.runboard.com/p70793,from=rss#post70793OUTSTANDING DRAMA (2016 winner: Game of Thrones) Better Call Saul The Crown The Handmaid’s Tale House of Cards Stranger Things This Is Us Westworld LEAD ACTOR IN A DRAMA (2016 winner: Rami Malek) Sterling K. Other Newcomers FX’s FEUD: Bette and Joan and Netflix’s Stranger Things scored 18 nominations followed by Veep which racked up 17 nominations followed by Big Little Lies and Fargo with 16 each. This Is Us made a big statement with 11 Nominations indicating Broadcast TV isn’t as dead as many thought. In total, HBO amassed 110 nominations, topping the networks as usual and showing the future looks good post Game of Thrones. Netflix scored an impressive 91 nominations to place 2nd followed by NBC with 64, FX with 54 and ABC with 34 round out the top 5 networks. Like Game of Thrones, Orphan Black and Twin Peaks started too late to be eligible for nominations this year thus they will not be on the snubs list. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Rogue9a)Mon, 17 Jul 2017 16:13:13 +0000
