Deadwood

While not set in stone HBO programming president Michael Lombardo told TV Line that the Deadwood reunion film will happen and that he gave the go ahead to series creator David Milch to resurrect the much loved show.

However any film will have to wait until David Milch finishes another project he's working on and than the work on bringing together the cast will begin

Re: Deadwood

Filming has begun on the Deadwood film.

The Logline for the film was “The indelible characters of the series are reunited after ten years to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds are reopened, as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.”

The Cast includes Molly Parker (Alma Ellsworth), Paula Malcomson (Trixie), John Hawkes (Sol Star), Anna Gunn (Martha Bullock), Dayton Callie (Charlie Utter), Brad Dourif (Doc Cochran), Robin Weigert (“Calamity” Jane Canary), William Sanderson (E.B. Farnum), Kim Dickens (Joanie Stubbs) and Gerald McRaney (George Hearst).

The cast also includes Jade Pettyjohn who will be playing Caroline, a new character.

No word on Cy Tolliver's role in the film as Powers Boothe passed away in 2017. It's likely they'll just reveal he either left town or died in the time that has passed.
