Star Trek CBS is bringing Star Trek back to the weekly format, the series will premiere in January 2017 on CBS before airing exclusivly on CBS All Access, their subscription streaming service. Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer, there is no word on the storyline
Re: Star Trek Bryan Fuller is returning to Star Trek, the popular TV Writer behind Heroes and Pushing Daisies got his start writing for Deep Space Nine and Voyager and will now serve as co-creator and Showrunner for the upcoming series.
Re: Star Trek Writer/director Nicholas Meyer has joined the crew of the new Star Trek series. Meyer is no stranger to Star Trek as he wrote the film that recharged Star Trek in the 80's, The Wrath of Khan.

Rod Roddenberry Jr, president of Roddenberry Entertainment, is joining Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin and showrunner Bryan Fuller to serve as an executive producer, he's joined by Roddenberry Entertainment chief operating officer Trevor Roth who will also be an EP.
Roddenberry released Trek Nation, in 2011 which highlighted his quest to learn more about his father and Star Trek and served as a Production assistant on The Next Generation, a writer on Earth: Final Conflict and a Consulting producer on the Star Trek fan series Star Trek: New Voyages.
Re: Star Trek The Online series will be going back in time and back to the original timeline. The Series will be set after the last Original cast film and before The Next Generation.
We have a teaser for the upcoming Star Trek series. As reported earlier the series will be set in the old timeline between Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The trailer itself doesn't reveal much of anything as a cast has not been announced yet.
