Some sad news out of the wrestling world, first it was confirmed that AEW's Kylie Rae has been granted her release. The News came out during the companies All Out event this weekend. The up and coming female wrestler had been out of action since Double or Nothing and had tweeted about dealing with a Medical issue before going silent. Whatever is going on is being kept close to the chest by everyone involved.
In other news, NXT Darling Kacy Catanzaro has left the WWE to deal with a lingering back issue. The American Ninja Warrior standout had signed with the company in January 2018 and has impressed everyone backstage with her in-ring work. She has also been the face of WWE Performance Center's Youtube channel where she is often recorded watching her Boyfriend, Ricochet's matches.

Luke Harper, Sin Cara, and The Ascension's Konnor and Viktor have all been released by the WWE, both Harper and Sin Cara has requested releases in the last few months. A of couple weeks ago it was rumored that the WWE may be willing to release unhappy members of the roster if they sign a contract barring them from appearing in rival companies such as AEW.

WWE has signed Emily Andzulis the first female champion of NBC's Titan Games, which is produced by The Rock. The Company has also signed Mercedes Martinez, the long-time Women's Wrestler has appeared in both Mae Young Classics as well as an appearance at AEW's Double or Nothing event.
Paige has once again responded to rumors of her return to the ring by tweeting that she is entering the Men's Royal Rumble at number 2. Paige has stated several times since her retirement that she will not return to in-ring action but that doesn't keep the rumors from spreading every couple of months.

We appear to be in a Wrestling renaissance, we have WWE Raw and NXT on USA, WWE Smackdown on Fox, Impact Wrestling on AXS, ROH on Sinclair, and AEW on TNT and it looks as if another company is making moves to enter the TV field. MLW (Major League Wrestling) is perhaps the fastest rising Wrestling Promotion since it's relaunch in April 2018 with its Weekly series MLW Fusion on BeIN Sports. has signed with ICM Partners and is eyeing TV and streaming deals. They have also opened MLW Studios which will focus on original scripted and non-scripted programming.
The Company also has a working relationship with the largest Wrestling promotion in Mexico, AAA.

Wrestlemania is taking shape with Drew MacIntyre winning the Royal Rumble and challenging Brock Lesnar. On the Women's side, things look like they will be going with new matchups as well. While Charlotte won it left many fans feeling underwhelmed as it meant yet another match between Becky or Bayley, which had been to death due, in part, to Charlotte's Monster push since the day she joined the main roster. However, it seems the WWE is aware of this and instead we could see her face NXT's Rhea Ripley for the NXT Championship. For Becky, they are looking at bringing Former NXT Champion Shayna Bazler to Raw to settle the score from Survivor Series and likely take the Raw Woman's Championship from her. As for Bayley, early buzz is having her face Sasha, having the BFF's turn on each other.
It also appears that for the Universal Championship, Roman Reigns will be making his return to the Title picture as he's penciled in to face Bray Wyatt. The only real debate about the matchup is about if it will close out Mania or if Lesnar vs Drew will.

A Popular on-air personality has announced their departure from the WWE, Cathy Kelley revealed via Twitter and Instagram that her final day in the WWE would be Sunday at NXT Takeover Portland. The news shocked a number of her fans though given the fact there were several clues to indicate that she was ready to move on; she had pretty much left WWE Digital which she helped set up and had only been doing the Pre-Pre Shows for WWE PPV's, NXT and the PPV Watch-alongs for the last couple months and the WWE recently hired a new backstage reporter. Also, she had moved back to Los Angeles away from their East Coast locations of Stanford, New York, and Orlando. She gave no reason for her departure but it's unlikely she is leaving without at least some kind of job opportunity that was too good to pass up waiting for her.
The Reason Rusev has been MIA for the last couple of weeks is contract talks, while his wife Lana recently renewed her contract Rusev has remained in talks.
Despite apparently being written off WWE TV Matt Hardy will be returning to Raw to have a match with Randy Orton.

Massive WrestleMania news
First up WrestleMania was taped this week along with Monday's Raw, Wednesday's NXT, Tonight's Smackdown as well as Next week's programming. The reason Mania was taped is that it allowed them to use the fewest number of people they could use.
However, there were still issues that came up. Roman Reigns did not take part in Mania due to fears of catching the Virus, Reigns as many know has a compromised Immune system due to his Leukemia battle. It's also been revealed that Dana Brooke was sent home and is in quarantine as is Rey Mysterio who was sick and didn't want to risk traveling.
With Reigns out Braun Strowman replaced him in the match

One of the most talked-about female free agents Kylie Rae has signed a long term deal with Impact Wrestling. The 27-Year-Old got her start in Booker T's Reality of Wrestling and has appeared in a number of indy wrestling feds. She was one of the first women to be announced for AEW’s women’s division appearing at AEW Double or Nothing in a four-way with Dr. Britt Baker, Awesome Kong, and Nyla Rose. Soon after she and AEW parted ways with a mutual release and after a couple of months made her return to wrestling at IMPACT All Glory and Bound for Glory in October.
She joins a Women's division that includes IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard, Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Madison Rayne, Su Yung, Keira Hogan, Jessicka Havok, and Tenille Dashwood. Once considered the best women's division in Wrestling Impact's current division currently hosts some of the best female wrestlers in the business.

Some Wrestling TV news
AEW has tapped enough TV to run into Mid May while Impact Wrestling is taping this week. Impact usually tapes every couple of months anyway so there isn't much of a change for them. No word on Ring of Honor but NWA has halted their shows. WWE taped 2 weeks of programing a couple of weeks ago which came to an end with Last nights Raw. There are some conflicting reports that they may go back to live shows from the Performance center or some other location.
The Virus has also cost the WWE some of their talents such as Pete Dunne and the team of James Drake and Zack Gibson are stuck in the UK due to the travel ban and have been major players in NXT in recent months. Now there are reports that now-former NXT Champion Rhea Ripley had to return to Australia after her visa was set to expire and so she could be off TV for a while as it's unlikely she'll be back in time for the next NXT TV Tapings.

After nearly a year of wanting out, The Revival has finally been released from their contracts with the WWE. It's reported that they do not have a do not compete clause with this release however it's unlikely we'll see them pop up anywhere anytime soon as their most likely destination, AEW, has filmed enough shows to run into May.
