Re: Some Wrestling News

Nikki Bella announced on the finale of Total Bellas that she has retired from Wrestling. This makes sense as both Bellas were not set to appear in Total Divas as that show deals with active wrestlers. It's also been revealed that Nikki will be joining Brie to host their own Podcast.

The Main Event of Wrestlemania has been revealed to be The Triple Threat for the Raw Women's Championship between Ronda, Becky, and Charlotte.

Dean Ambrose is not expected to appear on TV anymore, his contract is still set to expire after WrestleMania and it appears unless he resigns with the WWE we have seen the last of Ambrose.

Re: Some Wrestling News

After nearly 60 Years, the first non-WWE show is set to take place at Madison Square Garden with Former TNA champion and Current ROH Champ Jay Lethal headlining. The Event will be a joint Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling Card called G1 Supercard. Lethal will defend his ROH Championship in a triple threat ladder match against Marty Scurll and Matt Taven. Other big matches include Jay White defending his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against former Champion Kazuchika Okada, this match is a thought to be a replacement match with the planned match being Okada vs Kenny Omega but Omega would drop the championship and leave NJPW in January. A couple Winner take all matchs will see Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) (IWGP), Villain Enterprises (PCO and Brody King) (ROH), Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and Sanada), and The Briscoe Brothers (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) battle for the IWGP and ROH Tag Team Champions as well as Will Ospreay (NEVER Openweight) vs. Jeff Cobb (ROH TV) with the winner claiming both the Never Openweight and the ROH TV Championship.

ECW, TNA, and WWE legend Bully Ray, better known as Bubba Ray Duddley, is also taking part in a New York Street Fight against a mystery opponent.

The Card will take place Saturday Night during the WWE's Hall of Fame event.

Re: Some Wrestling News

Impact Wrestling may have said goodbye to Allie on the March 29th episode of Impact, but it was announced via Video Package that Former Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne will be making her return to Impact after a run that included Ring of Honor and the WWE's Mae Young Classic. It was also revealed in the episode that The first Knockouts champion Gail Kim will be returning from retirement to take on Tessa Blanchard. So for the record along with its Knockouts Championship match Impact had 3 different angles with Women, a bit of a step up from the WWE's the only Angles we have for women are for Championships.

Speaking of WWE, The Original plan for Asuka has leaked thanks to the Wrestling Observer, Originally Asuka was set to take on Mandy Rose however the match was dropped and the Title given to Charlotte because of the length of Wrestlemania. Instead, Asuka and the 4 women who had their match taken from them on the March 26th episode of Smackdown will take part in the 2nd Annual Women's Battle Royal which will see women from Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, maybe NXT: UK as well, take part. No word on what the plans for the Smackdown Women's Championship are, some speculate we could see a Winner take all stipulation or there has been some talk about having the Four Horsewomen of the WWE stand tall at the end of the show by having all 4 holding titles, though given the feud between Charlotte and Becky not sure how that would work.

As for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, 29 of the those taking part have been revealed. Braun Strowman, Colin Jost (SNL), Michael Che (SNL), Andrade, Apollo Crews, Titus O’Neil, Tyler Breeze, Jinder Mahal, No Way Jose, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Viktor, Konnor, Ali, Shelton Benjamin, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Otis, Tucker, EC3

Re: Some Wrestling News

Tenille Dashwood is a free Agent again, the Former Emma had been in contract talks with Ring of Honor about a new deal however talks stalled and fell apart. Her run in ROH started off strong and she was an early favorite to win the New Women's Championship but a shoulder injury derailed her run after undergoing surgery. While she returned recently, it was mainly as a Manager for fellow NXT Alum Juice Robinson as she trained for her in-ring return. There are a few places she could end up going, Impact is making a push so they could make an offer but the two most likely destinations are AEW or a return to the WWE, if only to keep her from going to AEW.

All Three spots could use her, AEW is developing a Strong Women's Divison and could use a Veteran Talent like Tenille to help build it. Impact is in a bit of a transitional moment right now when it comes to the Women, they recently lost Allie who had been there since 2016 and they have a lot of new Talent so again having a full-time Veteran on the roster could help fill up what was once the strongest Women's Division in US Wrestling. While part of the reason to sign her would be to keep her out of AEW, The WWE could see bringing Emma back as a way to make up for Dropping the Ball, so to Speak, many fans were surprised that the WWE released her as she was a very talented in-ring worker and before her Back Injury had a character that was getting over. It was WWE's fault her time there was derailed when they decided to give her a new character upon her return from Injury that just didn't work in the present day and then punished her by not giving her anything to do before feeding her to Asuka on her way out. But really the WWE needs her the least, it be nice to see her return and actually have a run but history tells us that she'll be relegated to the middle of the pack as the WWE puts all of their focus on Charlotte and anyone who happens to break out in spite of their best efforts like Becky and Alexa.

A Wrestlemania match is in jeopardy as the WWE has revealed that Rey Mysterio has suffered an Ankle injury on Monday during his match with Baron Corbin. He was set to take on Andrade during Smackdown but that match was canceled. They are taking it day by day and will likely make their final decision on Sunday.

Some Post WrestleMania News

Batista announced via Social Media that he has retired from Pro Wrestling, this isn't a big surprise to people following the angle as it was clear the Triple H/ Batista was a one time deal.

It's been reported that Ronda Rousey has suffered a broken Hand during the Main Event Match. No word on the severity of the injury but it shouldn't impact anything too much as Rousey was expected to take time off after Mania after working every week and house shows since WrestleMania 34.

Ronda Rousey is likely to return in time for Summer Slam or The Royal Rumble. She had originally planned on taking time off but now she'll be taking time to heal her broken hand.

WWE is hosting their next batch Worlds Colide events, the first took place during Royal Rumble weekend and saw members of NXT, NXT UK, and 205 battle for a shot at what ever title they chose.

The 2nd event will air April 14th and see NXT vs. NXT Alumni, with matches like Roderick Stong vs Tyler Breeze, SAniTY vs The Undisputed ERA, and more.

The 3rd Event will air April 17th and will be Cruiserweights Collide, which will see Cruiserweights from 205 Live, NXT, and NXT: UK face off with matches like Tyler Bate vs. The Brian Kendrick, Akira Tozawa vs. Jordan Devlin, Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews vs. Ariya Daivari and Mike Kanellis and More.

The 4th event is Woman Collide and will air April 24th and see the Women of Raw, Smackdown, NXT and NXT: UK fave off with matches like Io Shirai vs Sonya Deville, Toni Storm vs. Nikki Cross vs. Bianca Belair, and more.

The Final event is Brand Collide on May 1st and have two over the top rope battle royals, one for Men and one for the Women. Both will have superstars from NXT and NXT: UK while the men's will include 205 Live.

It's being reported that AJ Styles has suffered some kind of injury but no word on what that injury is or how long he could be out. WWE had pulled him from a fan event on Monday and he is not set to appear on Smackdown Live.

His post Mania plans were already up in the air as his contract negotiations kept him out of most major storylines. It was likely he would have taken part in the Money in the Bank Match.

Slice Wrestling is reporting that Jon Good, aka Dean Ambrose, will be taking a long break from The WWE, at least 6 months. AEW has also offered him $6 Million a year for fewer dates. It's expected that he will make his decision in the next few months.

Rumor has it that the Tag Team Paige will be bringing in will be NXT's Sky Pirates, Io Shirai and Kairi Sane. Both have already appeared on Main Roster shows, Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and Evolution. Another Duo being talked about are Rhea Ripley and Killer Kelly, both stars of the NXT: UK brand, the fact both are British make them likely choices for Paige to bring in.
